FROM PARIS

Take the A10 motorway for Orléans – Tours - Bordeaux.

From Tours, there are two possibilities:

• Leave the A10 at exit 24 and follow signs to Chinon. At Azay-le-Rideau, take the D757 towards L’Ile Bouchard. Before L’Ile Bouchard, take the D21 to Panzoult and Cravant-Les-Coteaux. To go straight to Chinon, stay on the D751 at Azay-le-Rideau.
• Stay on the A10 and leave at exit 25 (Sainte-Maure). From the exit, take the D760 to L’Ile Bouchard. Do not cross the river in L’Ile Bouchard but go straight on to Panzoult and Cravant-les-Coteaux
  

FROM THE WEST OR SOUTH-WEST

Either via ANGERS or LA FLECHE to SAUMUR, or pick up the A10 in POITIERS.

You can also take the new A85 motorway, leaving at the exit for Avoine and Chinon.

FROM LYON OR PROVENCE

Either:

1. Via CLERMONT-FERRAND and then take the A71 (north) at SAINT-AMAND to CHATEAUROUX, LOCHES and SAINTE-MAURE
2. The more southern route via TOULOUSE and BORDEAUX where you can pick up the A10.
